Anatoliy Vyacheslavov
Born in the town Kherson Ukraine. Antoliy Vyacheslavov's musicls journey began at his local youth music school and thearte company. At the age of ten he began his studies on the saxophone. Having spent seven years at this school in 1986 he passed an audition for the Kherson college of music here, he successfully studied saxophone, conducting and a teaching diploma for four years. Between 1990 and 1992 he spent his national service in the Odesa Regional Military Orchestra where he travelled all over the former soviet union. After leaving the army Toliy cut his "chops" in callaboration with some of the Ukraine's finest jazz musicians. This marked the begining of a musical journey that would take him all round the world from the Nordkapp in the north to as far south as Georgia in Antarctica. In 2001Toliy moved to the UK. He soon came to the attention of many of the south's jazz musicians who were greatly impressed by his powerfull sound, great technique and incredible spirit and passion with which he plays the saxophone. 2010 marks the release of his debut album ehich is entitled Central Line. A collabiration with some of the UK's most sought after session musicians who provideda great vehicle of spirit, passion and musicianship to drive this project. |
