I have been experimenting with different reeds and in the end settled for a Rico Jazz 2. I was not too keen on the ligature set up and changed it for a Rovner Ml Platinum. I may experiment more with the original lig. I get a lot of comments on how great the sound is, from non musicians and sax pros alike. I was using an Otto Link and I much prefer the sound of the Ambika. It plays great from low to high, without any hesitation and has a rice full sound at low volume to screaming.
I have tried many mouthpieces but this is by far the best. Top marks to Theo Wanne.
Expensive but worth it.
